How it started

Based in Austin, TX, The Stair Step is a precision manufacturing operation built around a CNC router and a simple promise: if you send us your flooring, we'll send back nosings that match it perfectly.

We currently produce 400–550 nosings per month for flooring companies and showrooms. Every piece is cut from customer-supplied engineered hardwood planks, profiled to spec, packaged, and shipped directly — a fully turnkey service that adds a premium product to your catalog without adding a single step to your operation.
